Suspension lamp by Louis Poulsen, work circa 1960.
Large industrial-style suspension lamp in white enamelled sheet metal. Electrically mounted, new red twisted fabric wire and socket. Period label inside: Louis Poulsen & co c/o 19540.
In very good condition, with a few traces of wear and tear on the enamel.
The Scandinavian publishing house Louis Poulsen is a master in the art of shaping light. Designers such as poul henningsen, arne jacobsen and verner panton have all contributed to its success. From the 1940s onwards, and thanks to collaborations with these great designers in the 1950s/1960s, poulsen became a legendary brand, a publisher of light and talent, and a benchmark on the art market.
