About Poul Henningsen
The Danish designer Poul Henningsen is best known for his lighting designs. He not only went through life as a designer, but also as an architect, writer and journalist. He started his career with a focus on traditional functionalist architecture. Over time, his professional interests changed and Poul focused specifically on lighting. And so his success began. Poul Henningsen has designed dozens of iconic designer lamps that are still issued by the well-known design brand Louis Poulsen to this day. His lifelong association with the brand began in 1924 and lasted until his death in 1967.
