Product description
The Danish designer and interior architect Arne Jacobsen is considered one of the most influential designers of the 20th century. He transferred the psychedelic aesthetics of Pop Art to the field of interior design. Panton was one of the first designers to make innovative use of materials such as plastic, foam and rubber. Nevertheless, the innovator's designs fell out of fashion as early as the 1970s. Then, in the mid-nineties, triggered by a Vogue cover with Kate Moss sitting on a Panton chair, the artist's revival began. For example, Der Spiegel had the "Snackbar" designed by Panton in 1969 reinstalled in the new publishing house built in Hamburg's Hafencity in 2011. Verner Panton died in Copenhagen in 1998. Arne Jacobsen designed the AJ Royal Hängeleuchet in 1957 for the SAS Hotel in Copenhagen. The lamp comes without bulb.
