ZEISS IKON ZI001-CEILING
Beautiful ceiling lamp Zeiss Ikon ZI001-Ceiling from the legendary Bauhaus brand. The lamps are from the former E.N.C.K building in Vlaardingen. This building was designed in the 1950s by the architectural firm J.W.C. Boks, W. Eijkelenboom and A. Middelhoek in Rotterdam for E.N.C.K.-Delta chemistry in Vlaardingen.
Because the original suspension of the lamp was not usable, we completely re-designed this lamp. The upper part of the lamp has been sandblasted and coated with three layers of powder coating to create a Chrome effect. This ceiling light is a design object with a wonderful history.
CEILING LIGHT WITH A PAST
These lamps were once designed by modernist Adolf Meyer. Adolf Meyer was an assistant to Peter Behrens and a teacher at the Bauhaus institute in Weimar. The mirror reflector is made of glass. The outside has a light gray coating. The glass is trimmed with silver coating. The metal holder has a new fitting (E27). The socket is suitable for LED bulbs. The Zeiss Ikon is also available as a pendant lamp.
INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE UPCYCLED
The ceiling lamp ZI001-Ceiling has been expertly restored by us and made ready for an energy-efficient light source. Because our quality requirements are also high, this requires a continuous creative process in which craftsmanship is paramount. The result is a beautiful timeless end product that is preserved and has a new light life ahead of it.
We believe in the preservation and sustainable reuse of this industrial heritage, the source of Lloyd Industrials.
Top is powder coated in Chrome color, glazan shade may have slight traces of history (minimal but they are old lamps).
