This beautiful wooden pot on high base is hand turned and has ornate engraving. Unlike a tobacco jar ( see last 2 photos), this jar stands on a high base. In all likelihood it originally served as an urn. The age is difficult to estimate. Rather 50 - 60s or possibly earlier.
