The presented mantel clock comes from the years 1910-1945 and was designed in accordance with the spirit of Art Deco, a decorative art that emphasizes functional simplicity in luxurious execution. This historic piece is fully functional technically, the model is very displayable, due to its sophisticated form without unnecessary applications and without ornaments. The unusual wooden casing, the so-called clock box, has a unique form and an attractive burl veneer with clear grain and graining. The main decoration here is the color and texture of the wooden veneer, its natural grain pattern in the form of dark and light eyes, spots, veins surrounded by tangled wood fibers perfectly harmonizing with the applied brass Arabic numerals and brass hands. The item was probably designed in the Art Deco - Bauhaus - Modernism period. Thanks to its dimensions, the clock will fit perfectly on a sideboard, shelf or modern furniture.
