Rob Parry (b. 1925) is a well-known Dutch designer of industrial design. Gerrit Rietveld was one of his teachers. His style is characterized by elegant lines and the way materials are applied. In the late 1950s, the design of the Lotus lounge chair was new and revolutionary. An innovative design was created by separating the frame and fabric. It gave the designer the opportunity to apply more elegant lines. Characteristic is the slender shape of the Lotus armchair. January 2019 this armchair has been re-released.
