Design: Oki Sato, the designer behind the Japanese design studio Nendo, one of the greatest and most innovative design studios of the past 2 decades. Inspiration: the characteristic shape of traditional Japanese shirts, see detail photos, hence the name 'Collar'.
Application: on the wall or on the ground, horizontally or vertically. The graphic effect of the Collar design detail is enhanced by using several Collar cabinets with a little distance horizontally or vertically, see photos for inspiration. We offer several other Collar cabinets through Whoppah.
Text from press release: The modular COLLAR cabinets are inspired by the collar of a shirt, which playfully echoes in the decorative aluminum fronts. These MDF / metal containers function as individual chest of drawers / side board or bedside tables but can be combined, forming attractive configurations for storing books etc. The subtle color-scheme and the vividly alternated forms express NENDO's typical serene atmosphere. To complement these cabinets, Nendo added also open bookcase cabinets.
