Super nice lightweight vintage swivel chair (drehsessel) by Karl Eric Klote for "Von Overman" from Sweden. The design seems to date from the late 1960s (typical Pod-chair) - but the factory did not officially start until 1977. However, from the late 1950s Klote experimented with lightweight structures and expanded polystyrene inner cores to produce especially light and strong armchairs. This model, numbered "J44" consists of the same EPS inner shell and is factory reinforced with a laminated seat.The chair sits on a solid cast matte-aluminum base. I lovingly fitted the chair with a woolen (semi-synthetic) upholstery fabric in gray with an old-pink thread. This chair is very solid and ready for a new interior.
