Vitra's Panton Chair is an icon, designed by Verner Panton. Panton wanted to turn plastic into a one-piece chair, and they finally succeeded together with Vitra. In 1967, they launched the Panton Chair Classic, which was made of rigid foam (polyurethane) and has a glossy, lacquered appearance. The chair was an instant sensation and won several awards. Starting in 1999, Vitra released the Panton Chair. The shell of this chair is made of colored polypropylene with a matte finish. This Panton Chair by Verner Panton is about 83 centimeters high, about 50 centimeters wide and about 60 centimeters deep. The seat height is 42 centimeters.
