Product description
The 'Chaise longue à réglage continue' (LC4) is a 1928 design by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret & Charlotte Perriand and became one of the earliest miniature models released by the Vitra Design Museum in the mid to late 1990s.
As such, this model has not been available for quite some time.
This miniature chaise longue, like the large one, is made with exceptional craftsmanship: The seat is made of soft, genuine black leather, the curved tubes of chromed metal, the base of black enameled steel.
The LC4 looks futuristic, unpretentious and cool, and when you look closely, tiny details stand out as only Vitra incorporates them into its miniatures; tiny belt buckles, beautifully hand-sewn leather upholstery and neck cushion and dozens of elastic straps at the bottom. The entirety of the chair's seat can move over the rollers that sit on the base, just as the large chair so typically can.
The Vitra miniatures are identical to the large original (Cassina) specimen as far as possible, and because they are handmade, they take a long time to produce.
Scale is 1:6
