The Vitra Amoebe Highback Armchair is a design by Verner Panton. Designed by Panton in the early 1970s, this cheerful design, with its bright color and organic form, exudes the zeitgeist of the time. Originally, Panton designed the Amoeba for his famous Visiona 2 exhibition. With this exhibition, Panton abandoned all traditional concepts of interior and architecture and surprised visitors with his "living cave" of textiles. Later, from this exhibition, several designs were produced in modified form for the general public, including the Amoeba. The armchair sits low to the ground and offers good comfort. Thanks to its unique appearance and fine comfort, the design is perfect for in both formal and informal settings.
