Wonderful EA 117 aluminum chair by Charles & Ray Eames for Vitra. This is the model version in black leather (nero). The back is covered with Plano fabric, also in black (nero). The side profiles, armrests, clamps and base are made of die-cast aluminum, chrome-plated.
The aluminum chair is height-adjustable, rotatable and has a tilt mechanism. It is in exceptionally good condition with minimal signs of use typical of its age. The chair has been thoroughly cleaned and has a manufacturer's certificate from Vitra. The gas pressure spring is intact.
The office swivel chairs from the Aluminum Group were designed by Charles & Ray Eames in 1958 and are considered one of the most important designs of the 20th century. The chairs are ideal as office chairs for prestigious offices or stylish home offices.
