The back is covered with the classic, durable Hopsak fabric. The side profiles, armrests, clamps and base are made of chrome-plated die-cast aluminum.
The Alu Chair can be swiveled and is in very good condition with slight signs of wear typical of its age, as you can see from the extensive product images. The leather and armrests in particular are in exceptionally good condition. The base shows slight signs of wear typical of its age. The chair has a manufacturer's mark from Vitra. The seating comfort is very good.
The EA 108 aluminum chair was designed by Charles & Ray Eames in 1958 and is considered one of the most important designs of the 20th century. The chair is ideal as a visitor and conference chair as well as for private use, e.g. as an office and dining room chair.
