This vintage highboard is an original from the 1960s. The furniture consists of two elements.
The surfaces are finished with mahogany veneer. A key is included.
Lower element: two drawers, metal feet
Upper element: hinged door (height 72 cm, depth 40 cm, width 80 cm) can be used as a writing surface, storage system with four glass shelves, two drawers and an open shelf (height 18 cm)
➡️ History:
The highboard with the model name "Berlin" was produced by the furniture manufacturer PGH Möbel Zeulenroda in the former GDR. It was active from the 1950s until the 1990s. The company was known for its high-quality furniture in the functional and elegant design of the Mid - Century era. Their modern, timeless pieces, which were often found in living rooms and offices, were particularly popular. PGH Zeulenroda furniture combines minimalist style with robust materials and reflects the charm and aesthetics of East German design.

The piece of furniture is basically stable, functional and shows no signs of damage. Signs of use are present.
➡️ Reconditioning:
The piece of furniture has been thoroughly cleaned. We clean and treat the wooden surfaces intensively with specially purified linseed oil in combination with an odorless and residue-free hydrocarbon solvent. This method is recommended by restorers.
