It is a base that used to hold a large pot with ladle.Where passersby could drink water from. Usually at stores and temples. Originated in South India. Are now quite rare.
Can also be used as a side table
White top is cut to size and can be used as a mold for a glass or other wooden top.
I am selling this because I no longer have room for it.
