Large vintage Scheurich vase, blue glazed ceramic with an orange fat lava band along the center, West Germany pottery from the 1970s, numbered at the bottom 408-40.
Rare in this color combination, blue Germany vases are the scarcest.
West Germany was actually a collective name for ceramics that came on the market roughly between 1950 and 1990. Some familiar names include Roth, Carstens, Ruscha, Jopeko, Jasba, Fohr, but perhaps the biggest were Scheurich and Bay.
In perfect vintage condition, some minor flaws in the glaze but no damage, in fact no Germany vase was perfect because they were manufactured in large numbers, no cracks, breaks or chips, check the photos for more details!
