(central panel: 600mm, side panel 545mm). Very good condition. From the Princess de la Tour d'Auvergne (Château de Grosbois).
Spectacular modernist wall psyche, circa 1930-1931, forming a large triptych, nickel-plated aluminium frame, central leaf with wall mounting, mobile side panels, held by high hinges, external handles allowing the tilting or closing of the leaves.
Piece made for the fitting room of the Princess de la Tour d'Auvergne in the castle of Grosbois.
In 1920, Princess Margueritte de Wagram ordered a complete dining room set from Eugène Printz, which was presented at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs that same year.
The sister of the Princess of Wagram, Princess Elisabeth de la Tour d'Auvergne, who was refurbishing her apartments at the Château de Grosbois, entrusted her with the furnishing of several rooms. Some of these creations were presented at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs in 1930 and 1931. The mirror presented here is part of this original commission.
