A vintage, an original, early and very rare office chair by Thonet. Especially the design solution in support of the legs appears to be unique as it is not found in other chairs by Thonet. The bent wooden connections between the legs of the chair has a beautiful line and give the chair an elegant yet robust character. This is underlined by the choice for a black paint contrasting the wood color and also reappearing in the backrest of the chair. A nice characteristic and comfortable chair.
The chair has a beautiful vintage patina with no extraordinary signs of usage. The seating, inside the rim, shows a row of nailholes that seem to indicate the seat had padding at some point.
