As with many lamps by this designer, wood veneer was used but in combination with aluminum. The stacked rings have different diameters which creates a playful lighting effect.The lamp is in nice vintage condition with slight signs of use that go with its age. There are some light scratches and spots here and there. These provide a nice patina and are certainly not disturbing or visible when the lamp is hanging. Also, the lamp has a new ceiling cap.
