Product description
Designed by Swedish design favourites of the 50s and 60s, Johan Huldt and Jan Dranger, these chairs were built to be an ode to the DIY ethos, thanks to their industrial yet youthful aesthetic through canvas and steel tubes. The chairs were made in yellow, orange, green, brown and black. In 1968, Huldt and Dranger established the company Innovator. In the early 1970s, Dranger and Huldt were very successful with furniture in strong steel tubes and lamps of an industrial character, painted in strong colours. A big seller was the Stuns chair series from 1972 for Möbelmontage in Enköping. Stuns were sold in flat packs and assembled at home by the buyer only with the help of an Allen key. Back and seat in canvas were pulled over the steel tube. The cushions, which came in a range of colours, were filled with polyether. In 1977, Innovator was disbanded. The chair is in good vintage condition, showing minor traces of wear and age, but remains structurally sound. It comes with new, original removable and washable fabric covers in a fresh yellow and white stripe pattern.
