Product description
This sideboard is an original from the 60s. It is part of the 602 furniture series from the renowned Deutsche Möbelwerkstätten Hellerau. Special features are the sophisticated workmanship, the use of high-quality materials in combination with a clear design language of the modern Bauhaus movement. The surfaces are finished with the light and richly textured Senesche veneer. A key is included in the equipment. Five drawers are fitted on the left-hand side. There is further storage space behind two hinged doors, divided by an adjustable wooden shelf. ➡️ A little history: This sideboard with the model name crockery cupboard is part of the 602 furniture series. The furniture saw the light of day on January 20, 1964. The manufacturer was Deutsche Möbelwerkstätten Hellerau. The architect and furniture designer Franz Ehrlich (Bauhaus student under Gropius) presented this model series 602 for the first time in 1957 at the Leipzig Spring Fair. ➡️ Size: 158 cm x 45 cm x 84 cm (width x depth x height)
➡️ Preparation:
The furniture has been thoroughly cleaned. The surfaces (top, sides, fronts) have been refurbished. We clean and treat all other wooden surfaces intensively with specially purified linseed oil in combination with an odorless and residue-free hydrocarbon solvent. This method is recommended by restorers.
