Beautiful 2x extendable dining room table from the Danish furniture factory Bramin.
The name refers to the place where the factory stood, Braming in Jutland, Denmark.
Bramin produced furniture in the higher and exclusive segment. They produced mostly solid wood furniture in pallisander, oak or teak.
This table with its beautifully colored top and nice wide edge is in very nice vintage condition, with a semi-matt protective coating, so ready to use immediately.
Originally from Norway, Klein, who has a background as a mathematician and linguist, discovered during his career in the Navy that his passion was in furniture design.
In 1949, he began training at the Frederikberg Tekniske Skole in Denmark before moving to that country in the early 1950s. His teacher was designer Finn Juhl.
Klein's work is characterized by clean lines, and perfect balance, the use of materials is fantastic as is the finish.
His work has been produced by Bramin and only a handful of other high end manufacturers, it has therefore always remained very exclusive.
This table is in a neat vintage condition, the traces of use are minimal, noteworthy are some minimal scratches, which are somewhat visible on part of the top, only visible at a certain viewing angle. Overall, we can speak of an exceptionally beautiful table, with the tabletops in almost new condition.
