Exceptional table of French origin and Provençal style, made in wood in the middle of the previous century. The table rises on slender legs, which lighten the visual weight of the piece despite its dimensions. The top is made of washed wood, and follows a mixtilinear profile with chamfered corners. The rest of the structure is polychrome in sage green, it has a large central register and two smaller ones, one on each side. The most original thing about the piece is that not only the front, but all its sides follow the same curved and sinuous scheme, which gives the piece great dynamism. The handles, the sablots on the legs and the corner fittings are made of chiseled and gilded bronze.
The Provence style, which has its origins in the Provence region of southeastern France, is characterized by its rustic and romantic appearance. It is inspired by the natural beauty of its place of origin, rural spaces, full of vineyards, flowering fields... The favorite material is wood, helping to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, usually with a worn appearance. The decoration par excellence is floral, and that is why this piece manages to bring together the most characteristic elements.
