The warm patina of the elliptical-shaped table is enhanced by the decorative veining of the Landes pine. The well-proportioned, welcoming table is a French work from the "Week-end" series by Pierre Gauthier Delaye (1923-2006), a French designer of the 1950s.

Pierre Gautier Delaye graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in the René Gabriel class. Decorator, interior architect, graphic artist and industrial designer, Pierre Gautier Delaye was one of those jack-of-all-trades who were perfectly in tune with the times.
