Print illustration Fashion magazine “Roaring 20s”, Art Deco, 20’s – France
Interesting illustration taken from a fashion magazine printed in France in the 1920s. Printing in black ink on paper. There are six women wearing fashion designs characteristic of the 1920s. The background is simple, only a mirror, a small table and a cushion appear correctly distributed to balance the image. Includes a beautiful zigzag printed wooden frame.
The women's clothing is the perfect example of women's daily fashion trends: bodies without curves were in fashion, so the garments had straight cuts with a languid appearance and the cuts reached the low hips to emphasize this effect. The hair was worn short with water waves, influenced by Garçonne, a style marked by feminized masculine aesthetics.
The designs presented here are inspired by the most relevant designers of the time: Paul Poiret, Gabrielle Chanel, Madame Vionnet, Elsa Schiaparelli, Jeanne Lanvin or Lucien Lelong.
