The painting splits in two, on the left the background of the lake and on the right where the bird is sitting and the landscape turns into a more flowery composition. Provenance Shilton International. Richard Frank was born in Great Britain and moved to the United States at the age of thirteen. He studied architecture at the University of Florida and painting and drawing at the Tyler School of Art and John F. Kennedy University, where he received his MFA and BFA degrees. Over the years, Frank has held positions as a museum curator, university professor, gallery director, and public television art host. He has exhibited extensively in the United States and Europe and has received numerous awards and two Florida State Artist Fellowships.
