Very nice set of three large round vintage nesting coffee tables made in France in the late 1970s from Savoy slate, and resting on yellow lacquered wooden bases. The contrast between the natural rawness of the tops and the brightness of the bases is truly surprising, and works beautifully. The result is a sophisticated, natural and organic look. The 3 tables are interlocking, and can take many shapes. The dimensions are Diameter 130 x Height 33 cms for the largest, Diameter 95 x Height 29 cms for the middle one, and Diameter 70 x Height 25 cms for the smallest. The tops have been entirely repolished, legs re-laid, and the three tables are in superb condition.
