Large vintage Scheurich vase, 'Lora' vase, West Germany pottery from the 1970s, numbered at the bottom 408-40.
Rare Scheurich vase from the 'Lora' collection, grayish to beige fat lava dripping glaze with orange flames along the center.
West Germany was actually a collective name for ceramics that came on the market roughly between 1950 and 1990. Some familiar names include Roth, Carstens, Ruscha, Jopeko, Jasba, Fohr, but perhaps the biggest were Scheurich and Bay.
In perfect vintage condition, at the bottom a small flaw in the glaze but no damage, in fact no Germany vase was perfect as they were manufactured in large numbers, no cracks, breaks or chips, check the photos for more details!
