Product description
Large uplighter floor lamp model Laser by Max Buguara for the Italian company Lamperti di Robbiate, Como. The design dates from 1979 and was produced until the late 1980s. This item was purchased in 1985 from the famous Dutch lighting house Artimeta.
1980s design in optima forma, the square base, the thin stem and the diffuser are made of black metal, what makes this lamp elegant and special is the solid crystal plate of Murano glass. The glass has a size of no less than 144 cm high by 12 cm wide, the total height of the lamp is 177 cm. Like many models from this period, the luminaire is equipped with a halogen dimmable lamp.
(These can be easily replaced without modification by an energy-efficient LED lamp.) The lamp is easy to operate with the foot thanks to a handy floor switch, which has an on/off button and a roller mechanism to be able to dim the lamp.

Lamperti is no longer active today.
Artimeta was founded in 1960 by Floris H. Fiedeldij in Zeist. In the early years, Artimeta produced luxury lighting itself, they worked with Dutch top designers such as Aldo van de Nieuwelaar and Gijs Bakker and Mathieu Matégot from France. Artimeta quickly gained a place at the top of designer lighting. The company moved to Heerlen in the 1970s, where production by the ex-miners who were not used to this fine handicraft quickly fell apart. Artimeta stopped their own production and started importing lamps from Italian top designers. The company imported lamps made by Vistosi, Venini, Stilnovo, Lamperti, Martinelli Luce and several other well-known companies. Today, the company is still active in the higher lighting segment and is located in Amstenrade.
