Product description
Wonderful and RARE 70s IKEA VINTAGE chair. "Hjo" is an idyllic small town in Sweden. It's also the namesake of this rocking chair.
Renowned japanese designer NOBURO NAKAMURA for IKEA, 1970s/80s, chrome-plated metal frame, canvas seat with loose cushion covered with real leather.
This piece first appeared in the ‘79 IKEA catalogue. Originally available in linen and this sweet caramel-coloured leather
Condition: Almost perfect vintage condition! The leather has next to no wear! which is very rare for this piece. The only flaw worth mentioning is that there is a water stain on the back of the linen - which can only be seen from the back (see photos)
Caramel leather on canvas sling, rocking on a mirror-polished chrome frame.
