This highboard is an original from the 60s. It consists of one construction element. The surfaces of the cabinet are finished with mahogany veneer, the fronts are additionally polished. Two keys are included. The box-like piece of furniture stands on four short, conically shaped wooden legs. The view is divided into six square modules. The left-hand side is dominated by the vertical section with a square, lockable door and five drawers underneath. On the right is a rectangular glass cabinet above two lockable doors. The display case can be opened with two sliding doors and is divided by a glass shelf. ➡️ History: VEB Ostthüringer Möbelwerke Zeulenroda-Triebes was a leading GDR company that produced functional and durable furniture in the 1960s. Known for their simple but elegant designs, they produced high-quality living room cabinets such as model no. 1/05. These pieces of furniture were robust, space-saving and popular in many GDR households. The piece of furniture is stable, functional and has no damage. Signs of use are present.
➡️ Reconditioning:
The furniture has been thoroughly cleaned. The furniture lid and one side panel have been newly stained and varnished. We clean and treat all other wooden surfaces intensively with specially purified linseed oil in combination with an odorless and residue-free hydrocarbon solvent. This method is recommended by restorers.
