Vintage industrial fluorescent lamp, dining room lamp
These now rare lamps were produced in the early 1970s in the former East Germany by VEB Leuchtenbau Arnstadt. The style is unmistakably inspired by Bauhaus.
These lamps used to hang in office buildings, among other things.
The fluorescent tubes are in black Bakelite sockets and are protected by glass tubes.
The body consists of cast aluminum and duroplastic.
The original fluorescent tubes have been replaced by economical LED fluorescent tubes. The cabling has been renewed and the ballasts have been removed, making the lamp even more economical in energy consumption.
