About Olga Fisch Folklore
Olga Fisch Folklore is an Ecuadorian brand founded in 1942 by Olga Fisch, a Hungarian Jew and Bauhaus artist who arrived in Ecuador in 1939. She soon fell in love with Ecuadorian popular culture, full of colors and textures. She soon began applying all of these influences into her own designs, working hand in hand with local artisans and giving them a platform to showcase her skills and talents. Among her most famous designs are her rugs, which have been featured at MoMA, Lincoln Center, the UN Building, and several other renowned collections.
The company maintains the same values today, striving to promote co-creation and collaboration with different artisans, contributing to the growth and preservation of local crafts. Together, they create unique and meaningful pieces that embody the rich cultural heritage of Ecuador. Guided by four generations of women, they proudly carry forward Olga Fisch's legacy.
