Lovely 50's-60's vintage gargoyle jug, hen-shaped, terracotta handmade in Germany/Alsace or other. Orange clay glazed on one side with green and cream stylized plant motifs, dark brown head, handle and tail. 22.5cm max. height, 16-17cm max. length, 12-13cm max. width. Good overall condition, with several traces of age and accidents, however, small chips and dents on the enamel, tail, crest, beak and one of the eyes, and a relatively visible chip on the side of the foot.
