Decorate the desk or study with this elegant antique inkwell, made in Belgium, circa 1880.
This desk accessory stands on rolling feet above a scalloped rim and features intricate repoussé decoration, including a deep curve at the front as a pen rest and a letter holder decorated with cherubs, floral and acanthus leaf motifs. Both containers with metal ink reservoirs have decorative hinged lids decorated with top knobs. The inkwell is in excellent condition, consistent with age and use, and has a patinated gilt finish. Dimensions: 29.2 cm wide x 19 cm deep x 19 cm high.
