Vintage, cigar press/ cigar mold, (so-called "winding molds") made between 1910 and 1949 as there is the stamp/ copyright D.R.G.M (German Empire Utility Model or Deutsches Reich Gebrauchs Muster was only used until 1949). An absolutely beautiful piece for fans of rustic decors cabinet of curiosities or unusual décor. The piece comes from the company "Hart & Hertel" in Schwetzingen Bei Mannheim. The wooden shaped boards, between 56 and 59 cm long and 8 - 12 cm wide, each consist of a precisely fitting lower and upper part. The winding forms were made of softwood on the outside, the inner form was made of softer copper beech in the lower layer, and harder hornbeam in the area of the sharp edges on the upper layer. Piece is in overall very good original and vintage condition with some light marks and signs of previous usage ( see photos) as well as patina of age and time.
