Product description
Exquisite hand-painted Chinese porcelain vase, work of the French artist Fabienne Jouvin. It presents two different faces: one of them with a large central circle decorated with oriental-inspired motifs in red tones on a black background and the other, a grisaille-style portrait of a Geisha. Signed on the base.
Fabienne Jouvin graduated in 1985 from the Duperré School of Applied Arts in Paris and, since then, she creates her original works from the sketches she makes during her travels (Tokyo, Havana, Paris, Maldives …). She herself confesses that she is passionate about Hispanic and contemporary architecture, faces that remind her of those of Piero Della Francesca, different enigmatic objects... she works with different supports: paint, porcelain, textiles, enamels (cloisonné). She sometimes collaborates with artisans from different places, such as Limoges, Thailand or Mongolia, taking advantage of the opportunity to combine talents and technical demands. Her works have been exhibited on many occasions, in places such as the Tokyo Fashion Foundation, several art galleries in Paris... She has also collaborated with The Arts of Fashion Foundation (San Francisco) to transmit her experience to young designers. .
