1 vintage chair, model 17 for Thonet by Michael Thonet, 1890
This beautiful bentwood chair was made by the famous Austrian manufacturer Thonet around 1915.
The chair is skillfully crafted from fine beech wood and was bent under steam and high pressure to achieve the outstanding result.
The chair was upholstered with the famous "Viennese weave" typical of this type of chair.
The special design with the beautifully shaped high backrests is absolutely incomparable.
This chair has a small defect at the top of the backrest, see pictures.
