Item Number: 01430 This space age lamp is from the 1970s and was made by the Dutch company Dijkstra Lampen. The Dijkstra lamp factory, founded by Fokke Dijkstra in 1922 in Cruquius, Netherlands, began as a small company and grew into a major player in the lighting industry. Born in Abbega, Friesland, Fokke started his career as a baker's mate, but his passion for lighting led to the establishment of his own company. Dijkstra was known for high-quality, innovative lighting, 100% Dutch design. The company had showrooms in Haarlem, Amsterdam and The Hague, with installation service for customers. This handmade glass lamp can be used as a wall lamp and a ceiling light. The special shape gives the lamp a warm special light drawing on the walls. Comes incl. (used) reflex lamp.
