Beautiful, mid-century, vintage, bar carttrolley from France, on multi-directional wheels, with two, "faux rosewood" effect formica trays, that have brass edging, gilded décor and a bar that lifts up and down to holdsecure bottles, from the 1960’s.
Cart is in very good original condition, with signs of age and use commensurate with time on the trays, wheels and body, but nothing that takes away from its sheer coolness, beauty, functionality or design (see photos.)
The overall patina also has light signs of use consistent with age, but remains shiny and makes the cart really pop, in contrast with the darker brown, formica, "faux rosewood" color of the trays (see photos.)
Both the top and bottom trays have a nice patina of time on the pale-gold, brass edging. The top tray also has some additional, gilded brass décor above the edging, which makes it convenient to place glasses, or whatever else one wishes. The bottom tray has a bar that lifts up and down, as well as two strips of brass, so one can place, then secure bottles. Both trays also have some circular, gold-colored brass pieces that add a nice touch of contrast to the overall effect of the design.
The piece has been gently dusted and polished to maintain the brilliance of the original patina (see photos.)
Cart is fairly lightweight and easy to move around to wherever one would need it: the dining room, den, living room, kitchen,
patio or balcony.
Additionally, the cart can be folded and conveniently stored if needed.
Perfect not only for larger spaces, but will also work well in a smaller apartment, loft space or outdoor bar.
A true conversation piece to be used as designed and intended, that will stand out in any given space, be it MCM, industrial,
Hollywood Regency, etc.
