An exclusive black opaline glass table lamp by Holmegaard Denmark from the 1970s. The lamp has 3 positions, as the base also contains lights! The positions are as follows; both lights on, only the base lights on or only the bulb on top. This exclusive table lamp has trapped air bubbles in the glass, typical of old glass. When the lighting in the base is on these air bubbles zorgeb for an extra effect (see also photo). Dimensions: height with shade 73 cm Height base: 40 cm Diameter base about 30 cm. Short about: Holmegaard, originally founded in 1825, is Denmark's oldest and largest glass manufacturer. Although much of its early work is thought to have been less than significant and special, the designs of Jacob E. Bang, Per Lütken and Bang's son Michael between the 1930s and 1980s are believed to have transformed the company into a leading powerhouse of Danish design.
