Offered here is a rare, iconic and well-preserved "Arco" table, designed by the Milanese studio BBPR (Banfi, Barbiano di Belgiojoso, Peressutti, Rogers) for Olivetti Synthesis - the furniture arm of the Italian industrial giant Olivetti, best known for its typewriters, calculators and personal computers. Typically Italian and BBPR in style, with heavily accentuated mechanical detailing in the structure of the legs and crisp lines, this piece is one of the most prized and sought-after office tables of the 1960s. Its dramatically cantilevered structure makes it look extremely lightweight. , but it's actually a very sturdy piece. The main structure is made of cast iron, while the drawers and top are made of plastic. It has been kept in very good conditions.
