These iconic table lamp by Elektrosvit were very popular during 1960s. They were produced by Elektrosvit company as a type 215 07 01. The designer is Jan Suchan. The lamp was also called the Astronaut lamp to reflect the 1960s popularity of space especially in Communist Czechoslovakia. The lamp is fully made of plastic. There are two parts to the lamp, a red shield and white plastic inside tube. The red shield is adjustable by swirling it either way to the side. This adjust the intensity of light. The lamp works on a standard small bubl and Europen plug. Very good condition. Two available.
