Fox chair designed in 1936 by Danish designer Viggo Boesen. The chair is from the chair collection of the Faculty of Architecture at TU Delft. The chair has a frame of curved thick rattan and seat and back of continuous thin rattan canes. Fastening points wrapped with split rattan. Material: Manau & Tohiti rattan. Manufacturer: E.V.A Nissen, Denmark. In 1948 this design was produced for the Dutch market by Fa. Metz & Co by Fa P. J. Schulting, Noordwolde (Fr). Dating: late 1940s / early 1950s.
Condition: fine, but shows signs of use. The chair is stored in the air-conditioned depot of the MuseumDepotShop.
