This carpet is an absolute rarity! This carpet with the motif "Le chat la lune et le soleil" by Corneille Guillaume van Beverloo appears to be a very early/rare version, as both the artist's signature and the limitation can be found on the front of the carpet. This design was limited to 90 pieces and the rug on offer is number 6. The rug has been freshly cleaned and re-glued on the back, as the glue had come loose over the years. This rug has a charm all of its own and is a classic in the Cobra Group design that can be perfectly combined with furnishing highlights in the Art Deco style or Scandinavian design. The rug is hand-knotted from 100% New Zealand wool and shows no signs of damage. A certificate of authenticity is available.
