Product description
Jug with floral design by the Thiry workshop in Vallauris. Dark brown stoneware-type turned ceramic, typical of their work. The decoration is set against a slightly transparent white glaze background, giving way to the color of this particular clay. Greenish nuances in the glaze. Earth left bare at the flower pistil. Blue flower decoration in relief in the body using the sgrafitte technique. Many different techniques and firings on this pitcher. Entirely hand-crafted in the early second half of the 20th century. Signed on the heel. Very fine condition. Height 18 x 11.5 x 14 cm.
