Rare brutalist vase executed in aluminum with ceramic tiles in various lanes all around. Circa 1960´s probably a work by French ceramicist/artist Mado Jolain who worked mainly in the 1950s and 1960s. She is distinguished from her contemporaries by her assumed modernity and the originality of her approach, characterized by a predilection for simplicity, architectural and worked forms, often based on a play between light and shadow. The vase is in very nice condition considering its age, all tile is without defects The inside of the vase has been used. Rare, perhaps unique vase! Dimensions: H 34.5 x W 11 x D 11 cm Weight: 3303 grams
