Product description
Add a touch of French elegance to your interior with this beautiful bowl from Vallauris. This unique piece, with its distinctive glaze and artistic design, is a true eye-catcher Vallauris, a town in the south of France, is known for its rich ceramic tradition. One of the unique styles originating here is the "faux bois" technique, which literally means "fake wood." This technique imitates the texture and appearance of wood, but is made entirely of ceramic. The faux bois style became popular in the 1950s and 1960s and was often used to create decorative and functional objects such as bowls, vases and dinnerware. The pieces are often hand-painted and have a rustic, natural look that fits perfectly into both modern and traditional interiors. One of the famous names associated with Vallauris faux bois is Grandjean Jourdan. Each bowl is unique, with subtle variations in color and pattern.
