Product description
Tramp art is a style of woodworking that originated in America in the second half of the 19th century. Some of the defining characteristics of tramp art include chip or notch carving, reclaiming cheap or available wood such as that from cigar boxes and shipping crates, using simple tools such as pocket knives and layering materials into geometric shapes using glue or nails. One technique used in tramp art is Crown of Thorns carpentry. Dimensions: Wide 25.5 cm x deep 17 cm x 12 cm high
The Tramp-art box is in very clean condition, 1940s/50s I estimate.
